But everyone else is doing…

If I don’t wear that kind of clothe I will be mocked; If I don’t go to that party, people will say I am a nerd; if I don’t speak like them they will humiliate me; If I tell them I go to church they will make fun of me.

These are some of the things a teen and youth go trough every single day. It is no secret everyone wants to be loved, fit in, be accepted, and be respected.

And many Christian young ladies are just giving in to peer pressure. When they enter their schools, they hide who they really are putting God at the end of the queue in order to please the world.

I will never forget a 17 year old I met that came to speak to me and was addicted in alcohol and drugs, had 2 children each one from a different father. When I looked at her I could never say she was 17 she looked like 30 or more….

Many times teens think that they will just do that little thing that they convince themselves that it has no harm on it…and they drag themselves to the bottom of the pit.

I grew up being despised at school…I was never popular, I was never full of friends

I never fitted in…Only God knows the sensation we have on those days…But today I am so happy cause I did not give in to peer pressure…I never smoked, never drunk, never engaged my self in inappropriate relationships; so yes, it is possible even against all odds.

6482-1Don’t give in! The bible says: “Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:22

The decision that you make today will make you tomorrow. If you decide to take life easy, hanging around with bad friends, behaving badly, despising all the advice that your parents or the pastor gives you, than for sure you will reap the fruits. Also if you make the right choices in life, you will surely reap the good benefits. We see that many of us, our parents made some wrong decisions when they were young, and they ended up being single mothers, having to raise children in suffering. They have experience of what life brings you if you disobey. So listen to your parents’ advice. They are not misleading you but they only want what’s best for you.
