WOMEN IN ACTION

Pinky Dada’s life could be described in one word: hopeless. She was a single mother of a young boy, she was unemployed and to make matters worse, depended completely on her parents for financial support.

“Although my family didn’t mind supporting me, I desired a life of independence. I wanted to support my son and give him the best life had to offer,” Pinky remembers. In 1993 she accepted an invitation to the UCKG and the rest, as they say, is history! “I engaged myself in chains of prayers and movements of faith in the Church.

I learnt that with God by my side, I could do anything,” she said. She used her faith and soon after got a good job and gained what she always wanted: financial for myself, my son and my family too.” After just two years in the Church, Pinky understood the importance of not just caring about the material aspect of her life. “I wanted to serve God with my whole life. I continued using my faith and continued being a good daughter to my parents, a good mother to my son and a good sister,” she continued.

She was raised as an assistant in the Church in 1995 and in 1997 got married to Pastor Alex Dada. Today, 13 years later, Mrs Pinky Dada is a happy woman with a blessed family. She continues to serve God at her husband’s side. When asked what message she has for women who don’t believe God has a plan for their lives, she said: “With God on your side there’s no need to depend on anyone, because with Him you can make it.”
