True story: God’s plan changed her life forever

mrs-pinkyPinky Dada’s life could be described in one word: hopeless. She was a single mother of a young boy, she was unemployed and to make matters worse, depended completely on her parents for financial support.

“Although my family didn’t mind supporting me, I desired a life of independence. I wanted to support my son and give him the best life had to offer,” Pinky remembers. In 1993 she accepted an invitation to the UCKG and the rest, as they say, is history! “I engaged myself in chains of prayers and movements of faith in the Church. Read the rest of this entry »

I was reading cards

Silvia 3Before coming to Jesus I had my life totally destroyed. I suffered from many spiritual problems as having visions, hearing voices, nightmares, I was afraid of darkness and death. My family was deeply involved with witchcraft. It all started back when my mother was 18 and had repeated panic attacks, screaming and claiming she was going to die.

My granny would take her to the hospital with no avail so she decided to seek for help in the mystic world through card readers able to speak with the spirits and do witchcraft. One medium said my mother was suffering from the spirit of her late father who was missing her and wanted her dead by his side.

She waited

Raquel .JPGThis is Rachel, a 31-year-old assistant who recently married a 36-year-old pastor last October 31st. When I met Rachel for the first time, I decided to write about her not only because her story is quite unique, but also because it has a very common beginning, which is why it strongly inspired me.

Rachel came to the church when she was only 14. Being born in a Catholic home, Rachel had always believed in God but she and her family suffered a lot, and didn’t know how to use all that faith into solving their problems. Once they heard about the UCKG in Spain, they started to attend and miracles began to happen, one by one. Rachel immediately fell in love with God and decided to give her life back to Him.

I was born with leukemia

Nesse foto se consegue ver no meu braco direito as marcas de agulha My name is Amanda Valle and I am 29 years old. I want to share how I came to know Jesus and how He transformed my life.

I was born very sick and soon the nurse gave me to my mother, just after the delivery, they saw I had a greenish tone in my skin so the doctors did all exams and found out I was born with leukemia. My mother’s life was from hospital to hospital taken me for blood transfusion. The doctors prepared her for the worst because they could not find healing and they advised my mother that my body structure could not take the treatment for much longer. I was not expected to live beyond 7 years of age. My mother fell into a desperate situation and one day she was crying at the gate of our house when a lady approached and offered help. When my mother explained my problem, this lady invited her to the UCKG because she had just been healed of breast cancer. Short of any hope, my mother decided to go to the church and started to fight for my healing. I was about 3 years old at that time. She persevered in all chains of prayers and purpose of faith while I was still under medical treatment. At the age of 05, the doctors acknowledged that I was totally healed.

Mrs Evelyn Higginbotham

The Decision that Saved His Life

Mark&soccerball.JPGWhen Mark was 11 months old and tottering around the house on chubby little legs, I had to carefully baby-proof every room. I made sure there was no table he could pull down on himself, that all the light sockets were covered, that there were no small articles that he could put in his mouth and choke on. Also that every door that led outside was securely locked – except for that day.

Sunday after church in Durban, South Africa, we went home while my husband stayed behind to preach in the afternoon services, and Todd went to a friend’s house. I fed the baby, and let him wander around as I did some laundry, thinking that I would get a head start on Monday’s chores. I really don’t know how many minutes passed before I realized that I no longer heard his chattering voice, I had been so lost in thought. Terror gripped me when I started to call his name and go from room to room and not hear a sound or see him anywhere. I ran up and down the hallways, and then glanced out the window to see his little body floating face-down in the swimming pool in the back yard. The one door in the back porch that was always locked had been left unlatched. He had pushed it open, and loving the pool, had walked right into it and drowned.

The first word out of my mouth was, NOOOO!!!! I ran and jumped in the pool to fish him out. He was swollen, blue and not breathing. His arms were stiffly sticking out to either side, and he was unrecognizable. He must have been there for quite some time to have transformed into this monster-like creature. I rushed him to the small carpet on the back porch and began to pump his stomach – something I had only seen on TV and remembered from a high school P.E. class.

A Woman In Action in Lagos, Nigeria

mrs donnaI thought I was a good Christian. I never smoked, drank, or hung out with bad
friends. I read my Bible and I went to church. Without understanding why or what was happening I began to feel empty.

I wanted something more but didn’t know what it was. I wasn’t satisfied with my life. I became restless and began to search for Him. The more I searched,
the more pain I felt inside me. It was as though I was getting nowhere, and that it was all in vain – until the day I got to the UCKG in New York. There I understood that my emptiness came from not having an encounter with God. I experienced a new birth and became a real Christian. Today my life is spent on behalf of others – helping them to know who Jesus is, and what He is able to do in their lives if only they would give Him the chance.

A woman’s decision

Mrs AnnSay about 13 years ago I have done a decision that turned my life inside our for the better.

Before that day I was in full alcohol addiction for years, having family disputes with my stepmother and father. I would only remain sober for 12 hours to cope with my working responsibilities.

The other 12 hours of my single day and throughout the weekend I was more like of a party girl. I did not enjoy that but I saw no way out and the feeling that I would never build a family because no decent guy would take a drunker for wife, made me to drink more and more.

In one of my errands to Germiston CBD I saw a new church and was invited in but I did not accept. I took that small flyer home and hid it inside my wardrobe.

One year later, in the deep of my distress, disappointment and suffer I decided to knock at the door of the UCKG in Germiston and seek for help. Note that I was completely drunk in that day but I had done my decision – I knew I had to go.

I received prayers, comforting, counselling and kept on coming and God was changing me inside, my life and all around.

Today, my blessed life is a direct result of that decision I have made. I have married a man of God and for the past 11 years I have been serving Him along with my husband.

All memories of neglect, rejection, shame, addiction and destruction are lost in the past. It took me one DECISION. This is the very same decision I am inviting you to make and to have your life changed for the better.

The Right Decision

The Right Decision

Rose-Alessandro-300x200I was going to an evangelic church with my grandmother but, at the age of 12, I just did not want to go with her any longer.

Growing into teenager hood, I got involved with friends that had a bad influence on me and I started doing everything that was not proper to my young age as drinking, smoking, partying, hanging around with boy friends.

Though I would boast about my life, deep down I was very sad and unfulfilled because I knew those ways were leading me far away from God.

I have visited some denominations but never found the strength to go back or to quit my ways.

One Saturday afternoon, during a family gathering, my aunt was telling everyone about how her life was changed and I could really see a transformation in her.

That day I decided to go back to Jesus and to stop being a Party-Girl. On the following Sunday I was in the church and I had never left since then.

I brought my boyfriend to church and we fought together for our deliverance from addictions. Those we difficult times for us because we had to learn how to walk in God’s way despite our flesh was still willing for what was not right.

My decision paid off. We were freed; we had our encounter with God, our lives transformed. Today we are married and serving God for the past 10 years.

If your life is resumed to parties and friends but inside you lack true happiness, this 13th of September is your day of decision. If you choose a good one, it will pay off as it happened to me.
