Sisterhood – Our mission

Option 1Obviously we desire to lead young girls and women to become exemplary women of God.  But that can only come about when God’s principals are lived out and valued above all the world has to offer.  The common direction that the world is taking women, is leading them away from the God-given blessings and responsibilities that were given to us from the time of Creation.  Our uniqueness as women is being blurred by philosophies of feminism and immorality that fills every aspect of our culture.

The Sisterhood is meant to be a refuge from those negative attitudes and also a place where true womanhood can grow and flourish through the Biblically based teaching and encouragement of the leadership, and the bonds of friendship that will be formed among other young women of faith.

Most women are asking, “What does it mean to be a fulfilled as a woman?”  Our goal is to be God’s living answer to that question, an example to the world around us that God’s Way leads to the best, most abundant life ever imagined.

Your last chance to join this first Rush Week and Rush Month is on the 14/02, at 2pm, First Hall, Old Park Station Church – Do not miss it!

ALEX WOMEN HEALTH PROJECT

IMG_5499WIA in partnership with the Cancer Association of South Africa, Breast Cancer Foundation and the Health Department will be hosting a Health Project targeting women from Alexandra Community.

There will be counsellors from few other organizations dealing with cancer to offer to the community knowledge about the matter and above all to teach on prevention and early detection.

This initiative is not restricted to the members of our UCKG’s in Alexandra but it is our target to cover the whole location. Mobile units from the government will be brought to the parking lot of our Alex 1 church so that medical exams of preventive nature be conducted there.
